Guests of Holiday Inn Burbank have numerous options to slip into an imaginary world by attending a flick at a nearby theater. Although most of the theaters near our hotel show the latest Hollywood blockbusters, one theater located in Hollywood presents movies in elegant style. As the first theater to open in the ArcLight chain of renowned movie houses, ArcLight Hollywood should be on the itineraries of everyone who wants to escape the rat race for a dive into creative imagination.
Overview of ArcLight Theater
The 14-screen multiplex features stadium seating that allows all ticket holders to have unobstructed views of the big screens. Each of the screens includes a THX certification that ensures you enjoy optimal sound and image production. The theater sits next to the Cinerama Dome, which recently became a part of the ArcLight movie house complex. With a grand opening on March 22, 2002, the subsidiary of the Decurion Corporation is considered to be the leading chain of movie theaters in Southern California. Decurion Corporation also owns and operates Pacific Theatres.
Services and Facilities
Several unique amenities separate ArcLight Hollywood from the rest of the movies houses operating in greater Los Angeles. Reserved seating means you get to see the motion picture you want to see. You never arrive to a packed theater, which forces you to opt for the second choice on your preferred movie list. ArcLight Hollywood shows only trailers before each film, not self-promotional pieces that lull viewers to sleep. Before each movie, an usher greeter presents a brief description of the film, as well as the company’s policies that concern quality assurance.
Two ushers remain inside of the theater until they are satisfied the movie meets ArcLight audio and video quality standards. The ushers also remind guests to turn off cell phones and stop texting during the presentation of a motion picture. At the five minute mark, no other seating is permitted to minimize audience distractions.
ArcLight Hollywood presents digital versions of the feature films. The theater runs two Kinoton 35-millimeter projectors during special and archived presentations. In addition to the presentations of premieres and special event screenings, ArcLight Hollywood holds 21+ movie screenings for patrons at least 21 years of age. The theater operates a bar that serves guests who want to sip an adult beverage during the showing of a film. In the lobby, patrons will find local art and the props used to make current screenings.
Every guest is assigned a specific seat, which is printed on the top of movie ticket. You can select a preferred seat, if Arc Light Hollywood has the seat available for purchase. The theater prevents the purchase of tickets that create one empty seat between groups of two or more guests on each side of the empty seat. Open single seats typically go to patrons who walk up to the window and buy a single ticket right before the start of a movie.
An adjacent garage located just east of Cinerama Dome provides the bulk of the parking for ArcLight Hollywood guests. The parking garage serves several stores and restaurants that operate in the area. Located at 6360 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, ArcLight Hollywood is a short drive from Holiday Inn Burbank.
