Do you want to attend a viewing of one of the must-see Hollywood films of the year? Well, you can’t expect to see the latest blockbuster in one of the ornate rooms at Holiday Inn Burbank. You can drive a short way to a multiplex cinema or head straight down the 5, take a right, and enjoy the cinematic treasure called TCL Chinese Theater.
Overview of TCL Chinese Theater
This cinematic treasure sits in the heart of Hollywood on the world-renowned Hollywood Boulevard. Located next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theater opened as the more well-known Grauman’s Chinese Theater in 1927 during the apex of the silent film era. Between 1973 and 2001, owners renamed the movie haven Mann’s Chinese Theater. From 2001 to 2013, the name of the famed theater reverted to its original name. Chinese electronics producer TCL Corporation purchased naming rights to the theater in January of 2013, which resulted in the first legal affiliation between the Hollywood theater and an established Chinese company.Details
