Playwright Terrence McNally brings the popular theatrical production Master Class to the Marshall Theatre between September 22 and October 22. The performing arts theater comes alive with performances delivered by Emmy award-winning actress Carolyn Hennesy and critically acclaimed actor Jeff Campanella. Hennesy portrays Maria opera diva Maria Callas, who is the central character of McNally’s Tony Award-winning theatrical production. Master Class takes place between Thursday and Sunday in the Media District located near our hotel at 4252 W Riverside Drive in Burbank, California. The interactive play is for adults 21 years of age and older.
The Secret Art Show
The 5th annual Secret Art Show takes place on September 30 in downtown Burbank. Organized to highlight the brilliance of Southern California artists, the event offers our guests an affordable way to bring home artwork rarely displayed in Southern California. More than 400 original pieces of art will display for patrons who plunk down a $40 donation per art piece. The Artists Salon offers original artwork created by 10 nationally renowned artists. Holiday Inn Burbank guests enjoy a private reception that includes hosted wine, craft beer, and appetizers created by local chefs. Live music and a silent auction conclude the festivities.
Burbank Beer Festival
On October 21 from Noon until 7:30 PM, fans of craft beer have the opportunity to pair the latest releases with food offered by more than 110 restaurants operating in Southern California. The 3rd annual celebration of matching food and craft beer includes live music and a complimentary shuttle that takes our guests to and from Holiday Inn Burbank. Tickets range between $40 and $45 for three-ounce samplings offered by nearly 45 craft breweries. Craft breweries participating in the popular event include Lagunitias, St. Killian, Golden Road, and Stella. The Burbank Beer Festival represents one of the largest craft beer festivals held in Southern California.
From now until October 29, Downtown Burbank will attract epicurean aficionados of Italian cuisine, as Market City Café hosts the 10th annual Ravioli Festival. Eight different interpretations of handmade ravioli made from scratch every day dazzle the taste buds. The team of Market City Café chefs uses locally grown ingredients to create handmade from scratch ravioli dishes that leave a flavorful long lasting culinary impression. With prices ranging from $12 to $19, this year’s edition of Ravioli Fest includes vegan vegetable ratatouille ravioli, in addition to classic dishes such as roasted short rib ravioli.
