If you plan to stay at Holiday Inn Burbank between Sunday, August 13 and Saturday, August 19, step away from the rat race for at least one night by attending the Burbank Comedy Festival. Held at Flappers Comedy Club, the Burbank Comedy festival features a week of celebrity comedians who headline performances throughout the world. Celebrity podcasts and industry discussion panels also comprise the lineup for the wildly popular festival.
The 4th annual Burbank Comedy Festival pairs more than 200 comedians trying to hit the big time with well-established comedians who headline sold out shows. Next generation comedians enjoy the rare opportunity to perform with and learn from some most successful comedians. The unique lineup encourages those with a funny bone to perform live to hone their comedic skills.
This year the festival is expanding to two additional venues to reach more fans of live comedic performances. “Expanding performances across multiple venues will open the festival to new genres such as improv and sketch comedy, will increase capacity, and reach new audiences with a wider variety of shows,” stated Josh Snyder, Burbank Comedy Festival co-producer. “It has always been part of our vision that where ever you go, there will be comedy all around you.”
Here is a list of some of the headliners for the 4th annual Burbank Comedy Festival:
- Joey Diaz
- Jimmy Dore
- Carol Leifer
- Kel Mitchell
- Jimmy Pardo
