It may not be the largest, or most well-known, museum in Los Angeles, but Hammer Museum offers a laid back experience anyone can appreciate. Its casual environment, park-like sculpture garden, and unique collections make it a must-visit during your stay at the Holiday Inn Burbank – Media Center. Plus, it is free, so you can splurge on lunch or dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants in the area before or after your self-guided tour.
About Hammer Museum
Entrepreneur-industrialist Armand Hammer founded this museum in 1990 for a place to store his collections. It is associated with the University of California and it has become known as one of the hippest museums in the area. Sadly, Hammer passed away only three weeks after the museum was stocked with his old master drawings and paintings, as well as a collection by Honoroe Daumier. The Hammer Museum houses works primarily by artists who are not afraid to push boundaries to help people feel something from art.Details
