Greater Los Angeles exudes culinary talent that receives worldwide acclaim for creating legendary dishes that utilize locally sourced ingredients. From Wolfgang Puck to Gordon Ramsey, the City of Angels ranks as one of the best epicurean destinations found in the world.
One chef stands out and his restaurant is well-worth the trip from Holiday Inn Burbank to enjoy a memorable dining experience.
Overview of Lukshon
Sang Yoon might not be a recognized celebrity chef outside of Southern California, but the highly acclaimed chef is one of the most decorated culinary geniuses operating a restaurant in greater LA. Yoon’s Asian inspired menu includes classic favorites from Japan and Southeast Asia, as well as innovative dishes that you will not find at any other restaurant.
Yoon opened Lukshon in February 2011 to immediate critical acclaim. Renowned Los Angeles Times food critic Jonathan Gold named Lukshon the third best restaurant in Los Angeles because of the “bright and flavorful dishes that celebrate the wonderfully diverse ingredients of Southeast Asian cuisine.” Yoon has appeared on the Food network both as a competing chef and a judge in one of the network’s many cooking contests.
About the Restaurant
Lukshon is much more than a restaurant that features world class cuisine. Yoon has made pairing his version of Asian cuisine with an extensive wine list that includes several varietals available by the glass. Some the wines complement the bold flavors Yoon uses to create his culinary masterpieces, while other varietals accentuate the native herbs and spices that originate from countries such as Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam. Yoon has created a craft cocktail program second to none in greater Los Angeles. Guests choose one of several dining environments, from sitting at the bar to view the open kitchen to absorbing the sights and sounds of LA while dining on the open-air patio. Elegant booths and hip communal tables round out the Lukshon dining options.
Chef Yoon offers several daily specials that incorporate seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. The renowned chef changes menu selections four times a year, but several culinary mainstays anchor each of the seasonal menus. Start your meal with one of the fresh tea options and relax while you wait for the first course of Hawaiian Butterfiish or Santa Barbara Spot Prawns. Wildly popular Chiang Mai Curry Noodles represents the ideal dish to share among several guests. Order one of the daily specials or one of the large plate options for your delectable entrée.
Lukshon delivers impeccably time and friendly guest service that receives kudos from some of most critical of food critics who work the LA restaurant scene. Unique fixtures enhance the laid back, yet refined ambiance that attracts solo diners, as well as large groups that book memorable dining events. Yoon customizes menus to accommodate the epicurean wishes of each group that books a reservation at Lukshon.
